Frontline’s growth has followed the path from light fabrication into truly heavy structures and assemblies. The culmination of this strategy was the commissioning of a 1500 tonne, 6.1m brake press with highly accurate camera angle correction. We’ve folded hulls for infantry tanks and the plates for major undergrounding mining equipment. And we can back that up with a team of experienced boilermakers lead by IIW qualified IWE and IWS.

FABRICATION
We are certified to some of the highest standards in our industry, including ISO383.2 and DIN2303 Q2. We fabricate from precise sheet metal for aerospace to heavy underground mining equipment and everything in between, from manual to robotic.
Frontline Manufacturing has invested heavily so we can provide the best heavy fabrication solutions. We are the professional provider of metal work services in Brisbane, with the ability to cover the full gamut of sheet metal work through to heavy fabrication.
We can offer this wide range of capability because of the both the skillset of our staff and the plant and equipment we possess. For example, our ability to provide heavy fabrication services is a function of our skills in boilermaking – Cert III Engineering qualified welders who can weld heavy plate to AS 1554 and under our welding management system accredited to ISO 3834.2. The plate we weld is cut on our large format laser cutting machines and our water jet cutting machine, the latter able to cut over 100mm thick material.
Our truly unique capability is our highly accurate heavy brake press, combined with a wide range of heavy press brake tooling. Our Deratech 1500 brake press has a highly accurate sensing camera which automates angle correction, which is particularly useful for high tensile material such as wear plate, armour plate and brands such as Strenex and Bis80.
We are unique as a metal folding company in Brisbane by virtue of our certification under TL 2350, a standard for heavy folding armour accredited by the German Army.

We have a documented inspection process, firstly pursuant to ISO 9001, our Quality Management System. Further, we can develop specific inspection processes for your project, along the lines of our system developed and certified under TL 2350 for bending armour plate.
